Posting Stolen Land

This is the handy work of Brooks & Brooks, PC.

Merry Christmas from the Mohonk Preserve! Just before the holiday Brooks & Brooks Land Surveyors LLc. was paid to litter this pristine forest that was recently stolen from a family who are Life Members of the Mohonk Preserve. With the help of Robert K. Anderberg, (V.P.) of the Open Space Institute and Norman Van Valkenburgh (former Mohonk surveyor), Mohonk has deceived the New York State Court system to lay claim 71 Acres of private property that they have so badly wanted since the 1970's. They took this land from private landowners and fabricated a story that contradicts prior case law involving the same players. This was the 6th lawsuit against this family from the Mohonk Preserve and their affiliates The Shawangunk Conservancy. Norm (their expert surveyor) was recorded in audio saying, 'We will take it all..The houses..the farm...Everything." Bob was quoted in trial testimony that he would "Take the land by Hook or Crook...Tell your brother to watch his back, I will be watching his every move." Bob was trying to purchase the mortgage from under the prior land owner (Wilber "Smitty" Smith), because of it's location, size of the parcels, and so Bob and his friends could build their own houses on the Coxing Kill. Smitty hated Bob and the Preserve and would never sell them the land. Smitty sold the land to the current landowners in 1987 before Anderberg could buy his mortgage. I guess that good enough motivation for a personal vendetta and continuous lawsuits for over 21 years. In the current landgrab Norm went to court everyday to counsel Mohonk but was never asked to testify. Judge Cahill granted the defendants a negative inference against Norm. If Mohonk asked Norm to testify he would have had to lie against prior testimony in a related Case that was settled in favor of the same private landowners and it would have imploded Mohonk's case. The Court of Appeals and the NYS 3rd Appelate Division failed to address this issue. They also failed to address why Mohonk could not locate any of the adjoining landowners called for in their Chain of Title, adverse possession granted to defendants, and proper title to the land in dispute. Please feel free to browse the photos of the mess that was made in the name of "Preservation."
